Productions Robert Pillitz

Fondée en 2005, Productions Robert Pillitz centre ses activités sur la gérance et la vente de spectacles pour le groupe les Moonlight Girls. L'entreprise supervise à ce titre les différents projets de cet artiste.

Le fondateur et directeur général, Robert Pillitz, compte près de 11 ans d'expérience dans le milieu culturel québécois. Il a acquis son expertise en œuvrant au sein d'entreprises bien établies, notamment chez Productions Bros, où il a expérimenté tous les volets des métiers de gérant et d'agent. Il a côtoyé et collaboré avec des artistes tels que Nanette Workman, Bob Walsh, Steve Hill, Michael Jerome Browne, Stephen Barry, entre autres, sans oublier des artistes américains tels que Skeeter Brandon et Bryan Lee.

Robert Pillitz est également très fière d'avoir signé la réalisation du second album des Moonlight Girls, «Moonlight Café», paru en juin 2008 et nominé au Gala de l’Adisq 2009 dans la catégorie Album de l’année – Jazz interprétation ainsi que d’avoir orchestré, en autre, le passage du groupe au Cabaret du Casino de Montréal en avril 2008 et lors du Festival International de Jazz de Montréal 2004, 2005 et 2008. Robert Pillitz a également contribué, à titre de conseiller et directeur artistique, à la sortie du premier album des Moonlight Girls (éponyme) en juin 2004 et à la réalisation et la production de leur DVD promotionnel Live en 2006.

Diplômé en musique (Collège de Ste Foy, Québec), Robert Pillitz a étudié la musique et le cinéma à l'Université Laval avant de s'installer à Montréal où il a obtenu un diplôme à l'institut Musitechnic et à l'École nationale de la chanson.

Productions Robert Pillitz

Founded in 2005, Robert Pillitz Productions centers its activities on the management and booking of the Moonlight Girls vocal swing trio. As such, the company oversees all of the artist’s different projects.

The founder and general director, Robert Pillitz, has more than 11 years of experience working within Quebec’s artistic business community. He acquired his expertise while working for well established companies, notably at Productions Bros where he experienced and learned all about the craft of artistic management and booking. He has worked and collaborated with American and Canadian artists like Skeeter Brandon, Bryan Lee, Nanette Workman, Bob Walsh, Steve Hill, Michael Jerome Browne, Stephen Barry and many others.

Robert Pillitz is also very proud to have produced the Moonlight Girls newest album, Moonlight Café, which was released in June 2008 and received a “Felix” trophy nomination for “Jazz Album of the year” by the ADISQ association (Quebec's top musical industry awards) in 2009 and to have successfully orchestrated the group’s April 2008 run at Montreal’s Cabaret du Casino. Robert Pillitz was also key, as artistic director and advisor, in the release of the Moonlight Girls self-titled debut album in June 2004, for their performances at the 2004, 2005 and 2008 editions of Montreal’s International Jazz Festival and for the production of their 2006 live promotional DVD.

A music graduate from Ste Foy College in Quebec City, Robert Pillitz has also studied filmmaking and music at Laval’s University in Quebec City before moving to Montreal where he earned a certificate from both the Musitechnic Institute (computer and business) and l’École nationale de la chanson (song writing).
